"NORDCON
2007" © Slawek Wojtowicz 2007 2007 Nordcon's theme was life in a post-apocalyptic world. This image was used as a cover of the program book. Humans somehow managed to survive even under these grim circumstances. |

"WHAT
IS THE TRUE NATURE OF REALITY?" © Slawek Wojtowicz 2007 Is it possible that we are living in a dream world, not unlike ones described in "Matrix" or "Existenz"? What if each of us is a"projector", a source of whole "reality" surrounding us? What if each of us creates all there is...? |

"NORDCON
2008" © Slawek Wojtowicz 2008 The theme for 2008 Nordcon was "Horror". What can be more horrific than an image of desolated Earth, with natural environment destroyed by greedy Western civilization and Humanity only a memory? What is more depressing than Earth scavenged by aliens who happen to travel through this sector of the Galaxy? I am an optimist - I believe that we will awaken in time to save our beautiful planet and our species. |

"ZETA
RETICULI" © Slawek Wojtowicz 2009 Zeta Reticuli is the star system from which gray aliens are reportedly coming from. Since these particular aliens are known for lying, their true origin is not clear to most humans at this time. Many suspect that they destroyed their home planet due to excessive exploitation of natural resources and had to abandon it when its' ecosphere became unstable. |

"NORDCON
2009" © Slawek Wojtowicz 2009 2009 Nordcon was dedicated to steampunk. This is the cover for the program book that I created. Steampunk explores an alternative reality in which Humanity remained in the Steam Age, instead of moving into Electronic or Nuclear Age. |

"COMMUNION" © Slawek Wojtowicz 2009 In not so distant future we will have to learn how to communicate with truly alien life forms inhabiting our Galaxy. Mind-to-mind connection appears to be the most reliable method of establishing contact with extraterrestrials - though it requires thorough preparation on both sides prior to any attempts of such communication. |

Often it takes for me many iterations to arrive at the "final" image: one that is pleasing to both myself and to the person who comissioned that particular picture.
This is an example of several versions that I was happy with, produced for a remake of a book cover for "Kiyama" by Diana Kemp.
The last image
is the one that the author liked best and picked as a book cover.
